Globe Hits 61.6M Mobile Subscribers in Q1 2025 as Filipinos Embrace Digital Lifestyle

Globe Telecom reported a 5% year-on-year increase in its mobile subscriber base, reaching 61.6 million by the end of March 2025, up from 58.8 million the previous year. Its broadband user base also grew, hitting 1.83 million from 1.72 million over the same period.

Data services accounted for 87% of Globe’s total revenues in the first quarter—an increase from 85% last year—highlighting the Philippines’ shift toward digital connectivity.

Globe President and CEO Carl Cruz said the numbers reflect the growing demand for digital solutions grounded in everyday Filipino life. “We’re creating real value—from students learning online to OFWs connecting with family and small businesses accepting digital payments,” Cruz said.

One of Globe’s standout offerings, GFiber Prepaid (GFP), posted a Net Promoter Score of 67 as of April and showed strong performance with 70% reload rates and 53% quarter-on-quarter subscriber growth—gaining popularity among cost-conscious households.

Globe plans to continue investing in customer-centric innovation to expand its impact and reach underserved communities.
