Globe’s On-demand Logistics Business BRAD Plans Nationwide Expansion

BRAD, a fresh player in the on-demand logistics solutions industry, is eyeing nationwide expansion within the year as it aims to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The business is under the Asticom Group of Companies, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Globe Group.

During the first quarter of the year, BRAD’s services — including health and wellness, food and beverage, e-commerce, and telecommunications — only covered Metro Manila and nearby provinces. By the second half of 2022, it has targeted to extend its footprint to the rest of Luzon as well as Visayas and Mindanao.

The company’s portfolio currently consists of 30 merchants and more than 150 riders, which are based in different localities. General Manager Richie Santos hopes to grow this portfolio “significantly” as they move forward with the business’s expansion. “What we want to highlight for BRAD is convenience,” he added.

“We’re focusing our efforts on expanding the channels we have right now to serve the SMEs, especially homegrown businesses and communities, given the limited options for on-demand logistics solutions in the provinces,” elaborated Santos. BRAD is also looking into the sectors of education, medicine, pharmaceuticals, and hospitality for its expansion.

BRAD’s primary clients consist mostly of large corporations, but it is actively targeting to be a trusted partner of the SME market. It tapped into the delivery of essential items such as medicine, groceries, etc. as demand for the service picked up amidst the prolonged global pandemic. The firm being a tech-enabled provider of end-to-end supply chain technology solutions is, likewise, exploring more substantial opportunities within the e-commerce space.
