GMA Network, the Philippines’ leading broadcast media company, has solidified its status as the top source of trusted news and engaging entertainment in 2024, reaching millions of Filipinos across television, radio, and digital platforms.
Data from Nielsen Television Audience Measurement (TAM) revealed GMA Network’s net reach of 90.8%—equivalent to over 66 million viewers in the Philippines. Combined with GTV and other GMA digital channels, the network achieved an impressive 92.5% net reach, or over 67 million viewers.
Among the top 30 programs in the country for 2024, 27 were produced by GMA, with Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho taking the number one spot.
GMA Integrated News continued to lead as the most trusted news organization. Its flagship program, 24 Oras, remained the nation’s top news program, consistently delivering vital local and international news.
As the country gears up for the 2025 Midterm Elections, GMA Integrated News has spearheaded Eleksyon 2025, partnering with over 50 organizations to ensure comprehensive, timely, and accurate information for voters.
GMA Regional TV also maintained its strong presence, providing essential news from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, including in-depth coverage of El Niño’s impact, typhoons, and other major events.
GMA Radio, led by Super Radyo DZBB 594, dominated with a 43.4% audience share, cementing its status as the top news source on radio. Meanwhile, Barangay LS 97.1 Forever! remained a leader in the Mega Manila airwaves with a 50.5% audience share.
GMA Network extended its dominance to digital platforms, recording a total of 45.5 billion video views across Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube, according to Tubular Labs. This achievement secured GMA’s position as the highest-ranking media company in Southeast Asia.
GMA Integrated News amassed over 11.5 billion views across all digital platforms in 2024, while GMA Public Affairs drew over 12.2 billion views through its engaging content.
GMA Pictures strengthened its reputation in film, with Green Bones winning six major awards at the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Dennis Trillo.
The network’s cinematic achievements continued with Balota, a blockbuster hit at Cinemalaya, and Jose Rizal, a restored classic. Both films are now available on Netflix.
The GMA Entertainment Group’s series Pulang Araw, dubbed the most significant Philippine TV series of 2024, was selected for the Lunar Codex Project, becoming the first television series to be preserved on the moon.
GMA International expanded its reach by launching on YouTube TV in the U.S. and extending availability via the iWantTFC platform globally. The network’s contributions to the Filipino community were celebrated in New York, where February 27, 2024, was declared “GMA Network Day.”
