Google to Begin Deleting Inactive Accounts to Enhance Security

Google has announced that it will start deleting inactive accounts from December 1, 2023. This decision is part of an updated policy to enhance security, particularly for accounts with old or reused passwords. Accounts that have been inactive for at least two years are at risk of being deleted. Google has been sending notices to the email addresses associated with these inactive accounts, advising users to sign in if they wish to prevent deletion. This policy change underscores Google’s commitment to user security and the importance of maintaining active and secure accounts.
