MANILA, Philippines — Philippine hospitality brand Hotel101 Global Holdings Corp. has officially opened its Hotel101-Madrid, marking the company’s first hotel in Europe and a major milestone for a homegrown Filipino hotel brand expanding internationally.
The new property features 680 rooms, making it one of the largest hotels in Spain. The project is operated by Hotel101, the hospitality arm of DoubleDragon Corp., and is designed to serve both business and leisure travelers visiting Spain’s capital.
Hotel101-Madrid offers the brand’s signature “HappyRoom” units, which follow a standardized design concept used across its properties. The hotel provides four-star amenities while maintaining relatively affordable accommodation for guests.
Strategically located near Madrid-Barajas International Airport and close to major transport links and convention facilities, the hotel aims to attract international visitors attending business events, conferences, and tourism activities in Madrid.
Company officials said the opening is part of Hotel101’s broader strategy to expand globally. The group aims to build a large international portfolio of hotels through partnerships and joint ventures in multiple countries.
The Madrid launch is expected to begin generating recurring revenue for the company and further strengthen its presence in the global hospitality market.
