An Indonesian college student named Ghozali Ghozalo has created an NFT collection now worth roughly $1 million. The collection features Ghozalo’s selfies taken every day from 2017-2021, each selfie can sell upwards of $1,500.

The selfies themselves are simple as the creator describes them as a “picture of me standing in front of the computer day by day.”

However, crypto site Crypto Briefing notes that the collection on Open Sea only includes 933 selfies. This indicates that it is not a “day-by-day” digital scrapbook as one may believe.

Ghozalo initially took the pictures for a school commencement video, but instead of stopping after submission, he decided to turn it into a series of non-fungible tokens. He began selling the images on OpenSea last January 9th for $3 per piece.

The collection is titled “Ghozali Everyday” and seems to be inspired by the Everydays: The First 5000 Days NFT collection which sold for $69 million last March. It is assumed that Ghozali’s NFTs grew in value after becoming a viral online meme.

Following its online fame, the series found itself on the top 40 listing of OpenSea. In terms of the 24 hours trade volume, the collection garnered a 72,000% increase.
