MANILA – Edgar “Injap” Sia II, co-founder of DragonFi Securities Inc., has pledged a ₱10-million Matching Grant to encourage young Filipinos to invest in the Personal Equity and Retirement Account (PERA) program.
Through this initiative, 2,000 individuals aged 18 to 35 will receive ₱5,000 each, provided they contribute the same amount to their PERA accounts. The grant is expected to increase the number of PERA participants by 35%.
“This is one of my ways, as a passionate Filipino entrepreneur, to contribute toward our shared goal of a first-world Philippines,” Sia said. He hopes the program will empower young Filipinos to achieve financial independence within their lifetimes.
PERA is a voluntary retirement savings program that complements existing benefits from the SSS, GSIS, and employers. This initiative follows DragonFi’s recent SEC accreditation as the first PERA administrator, with full service launch set for late 2025.
