Globe Telecom Inc. has announced that Juan Carlo Puno, currently serving as senior vice-president for corporate finance and corporate strategy officer, will step into the role of chief financial officer (CFO) starting October 16. Puno will replace Rosemarie “Rizza” Maniego-Eala, who is retiring after nearly 27 years with the company to pursue personal and professional goals.
In a statement, Globe expressed its gratitude for Eala’s contributions, highlighting her leadership during pivotal moments in the firm’s history. “Ms. Maniego-Eala has been a driving force behind Globe’s success, guiding the company through challenges and achievements that shaped its future,” the company said.
Puno, who also holds the position of CFO and treasurer at 917Ventures, will assume additional roles as Globe’s treasurer and chief risk officer. Globe praised his 15 years of experience with the firm, noting his expertise in corporate strategy, finance, accounting, and investor relations.
Globe Telecom aims for moderate growth this year, following a record P162.3-billion in service revenue in 2023. The company has allocated $1 billion for its 2024 spending program.
