Fuel companies announced on Saturday that the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) will rise starting September 1. Both Solane and Petron revealed that household LPG prices will increase by PHP 0.55 per kilogram.
The price adjustment will take effect at different times: Petron’s increase will begin at 12:01 a.m., while Solane will implement the change at 6 a.m. on the same day.
According to Petron’s advisory, the price hike reflects the updated international contract price of LPG for the month of September.
Data from the Department of Energy indicates that, as of August, the price of an 11-kilogram household LPG cylinder ranged from PHP 840 to PHP 1,087 in Metro Manila.
