San Miguel Corporation (SMC) has officially opened a new access ramp to the NAIA Expressway (NAIAx) at Tramo (Aurora Boulevard), Pasay City, a development aimed at enhancing traffic flow and providing smoother access to the Philippines’ main international gateway. The inauguration of the 800-meter ramp on Friday is a strategic move to alleviate congestion in the surrounding areas and offer a direct route for motorists traveling to the airport and destinations in Parañaque City and Cavite province.
SMC President and CEO Ramon Ang expressed optimism about the ramp’s potential to improve traffic management around the airport vicinity, emphasizing the company’s commitment to contributing to infrastructure development that benefits the public and the economy. Public Works Secretary Manuel Bonoan lauded SMC’s efforts and reiterated the government’s partnership with the corporation in pursuing projects that bolster economic growth and enhance the efficiency of transportation networks.
The addition of the Tramo access ramp to the NAIAx is part of ongoing improvements aimed at facilitating smoother trips for airport users and supporting the country’s economic expansion by ensuring efficient mobility of goods and services. The NAIA expressway, an 11-kilometer elevated toll road, plays a crucial role in connecting major thoroughfares and regions, thereby promoting regional growth and development.
This infrastructure project underscores San Miguel Corporation’s role in national development, highlighting the importance of collaboration between the private sector and government in driving progress and improving the quality of life for Filipinos.
