Motorists using the NLEX Connector will face higher toll fees beginning October 15, as approved by the Toll Regulatory Board. NLEX Corp. announced the updated rates, with Class 1 vehicles, such as regular cars and SUVs, now paying ₱119, up from ₱86. Class 2 vehicles (buses and small trucks) and Class 3 vehicles (large trucks) will see tolls rise to ₱299 and ₱418, respectively, from previous rates of ₱215 and ₱302.
NLEX Corp. stated that this adjustment is part of a phased approach to implement full toll rates gradually. Initially discounted, the tolls will reach full rates once the entire NLEX Connector Project is completed. Opened in March 2023, the expressway now offers a quick, seven-minute travel time between Caloocan and Manila. It also uses a barrierless, RFID-only system to speed up transactions.
