NLEX Corp. Awards P2.2B Contract to Chinese Firm for NLEX-C5 Northlink Project

MANILA – NLEX Corp. has tapped China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) to construct a P2.2-billion segment of the NLEX-C5 Northlink project, aiming to ease traffic congestion in northern Metro Manila.

Project Details:
Segment 8.2 Section 1A – Connects Mindanao Avenue to Quirino Highway
Elevated expressway crossing Tullahan River in Quezon City
24/7 access for all vehicle classes
Target completion: Q1 2026

Why It Matters:
Once completed, the project will provide a direct, faster route for motorists traveling to and from Novaliches, reducing traffic gridlock along Mindanao Avenue and Quirino Highway.

Total NLEX-C5 Northlink Project Scope:
11.3 km expressway from Mindanao Avenue to C5/C.P. Garcia near Katipunan Avenue
