Norwegian Cruise Line Launches First Medical Clinic for Filipino Seafarers in Pasay City

PASAY CITY — Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (NCLH), one of the world’s top cruise operators, has officially opened its first medical clinic in the Philippines to cater to the health needs of Filipino seafarers.

Located on the 19th floor of the Trium Building in Pasay City, the NCLH Medical Clinic and Laboratory OPC was inaugurated on April 25, 2025. The 674-square-meter outpatient facility is equipped with modern healthcare amenities designed to streamline pre-employment medical examinations for crew members joining NCLH-operated ships.

The clinic features various specialized units, including dental, ultrasound, X-ray, optical, clinical laboratory, as well as ECG, treadmill stress testing, drug testing, audiometry, and psychological evaluation rooms.

“At NCLH, we recognize that our people are our greatest asset,” said Dr. Carlos Gonzalez, Chief Medical Officer of NCLH. “This clinic ensures our crew members undergo all necessary health checks efficiently, allowing them to get back to work quickly and continue delivering exceptional service onboard.”

The facility not only supports seafarers’ well-being and livelihoods but also strengthens NCLH’s commitment to providing outstanding guest experiences across its fleet — including brands like Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, and Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
