David Garai, the founder and CEO of Nostra, has resigned from his position just 11 days after the company launched its NSTR token airdrop. Garai announced his resignation on Friday morning via a post on X, stating that Richard Thomas-Pryce, the company’s Head of Product, will take over as CEO.
“I have resigned as CEO of Nostra,” Garai posted. Thomas-Pryce responded with enthusiasm about his new role, saying, “I’m honored to step in and lead @Nostrafinance. Our incredible team will continue driving innovation and building on our success. With many exciting features on the roadmap, like Nostra Earn, Nostra Bridge, and STRK Liquid Staking, we’re fully committed to reaching new heights.”
The transition comes amid a significant drop in Nostra’s Total Value Locked (TVL), which has decreased from an estimated $221 million before the NSTR token airdrop to $153 million, according to DeFi Llama.
