PAL Relaunches PAL Cargo to Meet Digital Logistics Demand

Philippine Airlines (PAL) has officially rebranded its freight and logistics arm as PAL Cargo, signaling a stronger push toward digital logistics solutions in today’s rapidly evolving market.

“This move reflects PAL’s commitment to digital innovation and providing logistics support for local and global businesses,” said PAL Vice President for Cargo Jason Siy.

PAL Cargo now offers a broad suite of freight services tailored for individual clients, freight forwarders, and large corporations. It handles high-value cargo, e-commerce, pharmaceuticals, and perishable goods, while adhering to strict international safety standards, including IATA’s regulations for pet transport.

Special protocols, such as security escorts and fast loading/offloading procedures, are in place for sensitive shipments. PAL Cargo also partners with logistics firms like Airspeed and collaborates closely with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to help Filipino entrepreneurs reach wider markets.

A formal agreement with the DTI is set to be signed in the coming months.

To further modernize its operations, PAL Cargo is developing a mobile-friendly platform and will soon roll out a Port-to-Door delivery service, building on its current airport-to-airport model. The airline also plans to integrate Mabuhay Miles with cargo transactions, allowing clients to earn loyalty points.

PAL Cargo operates from its main hub at NAIA, with strategic hubs in Clark, Cebu, and Davao, giving it extensive reach across the Philippines and beyond.
