The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) plans to recommend a reduction in members’ contribution rates to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. This announcement came from PhilHealth president and CEO Emmanuel Rufino Ledesma during a Senate committee hearing.

When Senator Christopher “Bong” Go inquired about the possibility of lowering premium contributions, Ledesma confirmed the intention to recommend this change. “As early as this afternoon, I will convene our team and we will recommend a reduction in the premium rates and contribution rates to President Marcos,” Ledesma stated.
