PLDT Inc.’s digital solutions arm, Kayana Solutions Inc. (formerly DigiCo), has partnered with Accenture Philippines to create a digital factory aimed at enhancing operations within the MVP Group of companies. The digital factory, led by Accenture’s tech-driven creative group, Song, will initially support MVP Group’s business units before expanding as an open platform.
Accenture Philippines will focus on brand strategy, product research, and user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design, addressing the specific digital needs of MVP Group companies, which include Smart Communications, Maya, Meralco, and Metro Pacific Investments Corp.
PLDT chairman and CEO Manuel Pangilinan highlighted the extensive database resources that Kayana can leverage across units like healthcare and tollways, saying the factory will enable “hyper-personalized experiences” for Filipinos. The contract with Accenture is described as significant in scope and without a termination date, with further financial details expected during PLDT’s earnings release on November 12.
Accenture Philippines country managing director Ambe Tierro noted that the partnership will combine “creativity, innovation, and technology” to deliver customer-centric solutions.
