PNR to Resume Naga-Legazpi Train Service on February 26 After Repairs

The Philippine National Railways (PNR) announced that it will resume train operations for the Naga-Legazpi route in the Bicol Region on February 26, 2025.

Key Details:

  • First trip: 4:49 a.m. from Legazpi
  • Return trip: 5:30 p.m. from Naga
  • Fare range: ₱15 to ₱155, with discounts for senior citizens, students, and PWDs (valid ID required)
  • Stops: Naga, Pili, Baao, Iriga, Lourdes, Bato, Matacon, Polangui, Oas, Ligao, Traveria, Daraga, Bagtang, Washington Drive, Capantawan, and Legazpi

The Naga-Legazpi service was initially reopened in December 2023 after a six-year suspension due to a lack of train coaches but was halted again in November 2024 after Tropical Storm Kristine damaged tracks and train sets.

With repairs and rehabilitation now complete, the railway service is ready to operate once more, providing commuters in Bicol with an affordable and convenient travel option.
