Benhur Abalos, Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman, said the mayors of the National Capital Region (NCR) reached a consensus for a 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew, aimed to start in March 15 for 2 weeks.

The policy is awaiting approval from the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Disease and from President Duterte.

Abalos said medical personnel and other essential workers such as those in food services are exempted from the curfew.

The curfew is designed to be uniform throughout NCR but it is up to local governments to decide penalties for violating curfew.
