Relief for Households LPG Prices Drop in April

Households can anticipate lower expenditures for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) this April, as industry players announce price reductions. Following a price increase in March, Petron Corp. has taken the lead in cutting LPG prices, reflecting adjustments in the global market.

Price Adjustment Details

  • Petron Corp. announced a decrease of P1.00 per kilogram in LPG prices, effective from 12 noon on April 1, 2024.
  • This price adjustment is in line with the changes in the international contract price of LPG for April.

While Petron has made its price rollback public, other LPG suppliers are expected to follow suit, offering some financial relief to consumers. In March, LPG cylinder prices in Metro Manila fluctuated between P830.00 and P1,068, according to the Department of Energy (DOE). The recent price cut provides a welcome respite for consumers, aligning with global LPG market trends.
