The blockchain payments company, Ripple, has announced the onboarding of almost 4000 musicians, artists, builders, and game designers of several NFT projects via its $250 million Creator Fund.

Some of the artists joining the program are author and producer Justin Bua, filmmaker Steven Sebring and xPunks. Additionally, marketplaces and creative agencies such as Mintable, MintNFT, VSA Partners, NFT PRO, Ethernal Labs, and onXRP have agreed to connect the company with diverse artists. According to Ripple, the latter three marketplaces have promised to deliver faster, low-cost, and carbon-friendly NFT experiences for users.

“We are incredibly excited for Ethernal Labs to be a partner of Ripple’s Creator Fund and integrate the XRP Ledger,” said Nick Rose, Ethernal Labs CEO, and founder.

“This partnership allows us to bolster the Web 3 ecosystem by pioneering cross-chain interoperability and bringing NFTs and digital assets to the masses.”

Last January, NFT-Devnet, a beta development environment built to improve support for NFTs, was launched with the hopes of lowering the tech barrier for aspiring NFT creators. General Manager for Ripple’s app development arm, Monica Long, stated that “NFTs have very quickly proven to have real utility within crypto—from digital experiences and rewards to artist royalties, co-ownership of real-world assets, and more.”

Ripple has confirmed that its fund will provide regular financial backing to creators. Currently, creators are working to develop the metaverse, gaming, art, and collectibles themes.
