In a grand celebration hosted at the residence of Malaysian Ambassador H.E Dato Melvin Malik Castellino Bin Anthony, the leading business and lifestyle magazine, Rising Tigers, presented the Captains of Industries, marking a momentous occasion in the business community.
The evening commenced with a warm welcome from the esteemed Malaysian Ambassador, expressing gratitude to all attendees, with special mention to Andrew Troy Nicolas, Grace Bondad Nicolas, Andria Terese Nicolas, and the entire Rising Tigers Magazine team. The Ambassador reaffirmed the Malaysian Embassy’s unwavering support for the ideals and vision of Rising Tigers, emphasizing the importance of leaders actively contributing to building a better nation.
Andria Terese Nicolas, the Chief Marketing Officer of Rising Tigers Magazine, shared a powerful message with the gathered leaders. Stressing the significance of service and nation-building, she highlighted that leadership is an endless and noble pursuit. Nicolas called for collaboration among the captains of industry to collectively tackle the greatest obstacles nations face, marking the beginning of a true story of hope.
As the evening unfolded, the stage was graced by the Keynote Speaker, Captain Stanley Ng, President of Philippine Airlines. With insight into effective leadership, he shared, “A Leader is someone who sets an example for his people. Vision is essential to become an effective leader. You’re not cut out to be a leader without dreams.” Captain Ng encouraged the Captains of Industry to continue sharing their stories of excellence with the world.
The closing ceremony featured Brian Poe Llamanzares, Co-Owner of Rising Tigers Magazine, who underscored the significance of honoring the Captains of Industry, especially during the festive Christmas season. He reminded them of the dual foundation of entrepreneurial success—hard work and acceptance by the market. Poe Llamanzares urged the captains to give back to society and stressed the responsibility of Captains of Industry to contribute to the nation’s growth inclusively.
The esteemed leaders recognized as the Captains of Industries included George Erwin Garcia (Comelec Chairman), George Royeca (Angkas Founder), Glenda Dela Cruz Victorio (Brilliant Skin CEO), Korina Sanchez, Francis Tiu Laurel (Department of Agriculture Secretary), Agnes Devenadera (Clark Development Secretary), Walther Buenavista (Shawarma Shack President), Dante “Klink” Ang (The Manila Times President), Jonathan So and Carlito Macadangdang (JC Worldwide founders), Eunina Mangio (PCCI President), Alice Eduardo (Sta. Elena Construction and Development President), H.E Dato Abdul Malik Melvin Castellino (Malaysian Ambassador), Rajo Laurel (House of Laurel Founder), and Denice Sy Munez (Chief Marketing of Ever Bilena).
Ambassadors Michel Parys (Belgium), Tull Traisorat (Thailand), and Folakemi Akinleye (Nigeria) also graced the event with their presence.
