Robert Kiyosaki Rejects Spot Bitcoin ETFs, Prefers Direct Asset Ownership

Renowned author of “Rich Dad, Poor Dad,” Robert Kiyosaki, has expressed his preference for direct ownership over investing in spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) or other similar Wall Street financial products. On April 12, Kiyosaki shared his views via an X post, highlighting his inclination towards holding physical assets directly, aligning with his entrepreneurial approach to investments.

Kiyosaki, a long-time proponent of Bitcoin, stated that while spot Bitcoin ETFs might be suitable for most people and institutions, they do not meet his personal investment criteria. He advocates for investments in tangible assets like gold, silver, Bitcoin, and real estate, which he considers to be current bargains.

Despite the rising popularity and record inflows into cryptocurrency investment products, including Bitcoin ETFs—which saw a significant inflow of $646 million on April 8 and a year-to-date inflow of $13.8 billion—Kiyosaki maintains his stance. He emphasized the importance of personal responsibility in investment decisions, remarking that if he errs, the responsibility is his alone.

Furthermore, Kiyosaki endorsed the optimistic Bitcoin price prediction by Cathie Wood, founder of Ark Invest. Wood recently predicted at the Bitcoin Investor Day conference that the price of Bitcoin could potentially rise to $2.3 million per token. While Wood’s forecast has faced skepticism, Kiyosaki expressed confidence in her assessment, encouraging investors to consider their own beliefs about the future of Bitcoin.

As discussions about the viability and future of Bitcoin continue, Kiyosaki’s perspectives add a significant layer to the ongoing debate regarding traditional versus digital investment methodologies. His views resonate with those who favor a more hands-on approach to managing their investments.
