Appetite Shoes was founded in 2013 with Jackylyn Lim Taboso importing small quantities of sneakers and selling this online through Facebook and Instagram.

Jackylyn was inspired to start her business by her dad, who worked in the footwear industry for a long time. He guided her in every step.

“My inspiration was my dad, who is in the footwear industry for XX years. He worked for a company and eventually had his brand. He would always look at every foot walking in the mall, checking out what they are wearing.” she shares.

As she grew up, she brought this mindset with her when checking out new styles and looking for the latest styles in the market.

She then decided to look for similar products at an affordable price then decided to import a couple of styles and sell these online.

For Jacklyn, a challenge she faces is when customers ask to see the actual item since this would still differ from touching and holding the product.

“But with some help of influencers and artistsas, good feedback was coming.”

When asked about her business’s main goal, Jackylyn says, “Our goal is to sell our products to all ages, from teens to age ’40s. Having the right pair of shoes can do a lot. Make an impression, boost your confidence, protect your feet, get you through muddy situations, or even give you the little extra you need to win a race.”

A self-proclaimed “kuripot”, Jackylyn makes sure her products are quality yet affordable.

“The company’s mission is to get more than what you pay for.”

Appetite Shoes is a specialty women’s footwear retailer in the Philippines, offering a fast fashion, trendy and comprehensive range of everyday shoes at affordable prices for every woman with style.

Now, Appetite Shoes has expanded to selling slippers and sleep socks on top of sneakers.
