American electric carmaker Tesla has officially launched in the Philippines, marking a significant step in the country’s electric vehicle (EV) landscape. Tesla’s Model 3 and Model Y are now available for online orders, with deliveries expected early next year.
The launch event, held at Tesla’s first Experience Center in Uptown Parade, Taguig, showcased the brand’s flagship models. Tesla’s regional director, Isabel Fan, highlighted the Philippines as a strategic choice, saying, “We pick our presences carefully, and the Philippines is the next new market.”

To support Tesla’s entry, the first indoor Supercharger station will open at Uptown Mall in Taguig City, with a full charge estimated to cost P1,140. Additionally, Tesla buyers who purchase by December 31 will receive a free wall charger for home use, with a list of accredited installers available for the wall connectors.
Tesla’s launch aligns with the brand’s commitment to promoting a “zero-emission and greener future” in the Philippines. The National Development Co. (NDC) will assist Tesla in rolling out charging stations nationwide, while the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is expected to implement an incentives scheme for the country’s EV sector by year-end.
