The Art of Collecting: Classic Timepieces from Windsor Vintage Co.

Art can manifest itself in a multitude of forms, from the iconic paintings of brilliant minds like Picasso to the compelling writings of authors such as Frank Herbert. Much to the same effect, collecting vintage timepieces is also, in itself, an art form more particularly for the romance and story behind its creation.
Watches were primarily made to keep track of time, but it has since been overtaken by modern technology. Nowadays, everyone is more than likely to have a laptop or phone with them that can perform countless functions — timekeeping being one of them. Nonetheless, there is still a certain charm to acquiring, maintaining, and wearing a vintage timepiece that will help an individual stand out, especially in an era dominated by digital, smartwatches.
This was the main driver for David Apolonio to establish his upscale vintage watch boutique, Windsor Vintage Co. The watch shop operates online via Facebook and Instagram and offers a wide variety –brand and price-wise.
One of the key features of Windsor Vintage is its Layaway (installment) Plan. Essentially, it’s a monthly payment plan where a client can acquire a vintage watch once they settle the necessary balance for their chosen timepiece. This allows watch collectors to secure their “grail” piece without having to break the bank.
Windsor Vintage Co. has since been able to sell Rolex pieces at ₱30,000-35,000 per month and Omega watches at a monthly rate of ₱7,000. Rolex watches can be settled for a maximum of 6 months, while other brands are allowed up to a maximum of 5 months. David takes pride in the Layaway Plan, which makes vintage timepiece collecting inclusive and affordable for people from all walks of life.
