The Creative Minds Behind Design Almighty

There is nothing stronger than sisterly love as sisters Louise and Andeng created Design Almighty together to share their art with other people.

“It started 11 to 12 years ago. We would visit a relative who would make tiny flowers out of polymer clay and would give it to us as gifts. Eventually, it became a small hobby in the childhood years, I was 8 and my sister was 13 years old,” Andeng shared.

Eventually, Louise graduated as a fine arts student and worked for a local craft store which inspired her to create her own brand. Thus, inviting her younger sister Andeng, a fellow artist, to start a small business in 2019 by doing consignments with different craft stores.

Louise and Andeng tackled challenges together. Louise would share what she learned with Andeng and would encourage her younger sister to design and produce her own art.

Design Almighty started off with handcrafted enamel pins for other stationery items. In 2020, they started branching out to accessories such as hairpins, earrings, and necklaces.

Andeng also wanted to create an earring collection on her 20th birthday as a milestone she could look back to. “This was the time I decided to share my art with other people,” she said.

During the pandemic, Andeng had more time at home to rediscover her childhood hobby. Through research, she learned to use other materials that could create more shapes and designs with polymer clay.

Learning how to run a small business made Andeng realize that the point of starting a business was to reach an audience that could relate to the creator of the business itself.

“As an artist, it’s to share your artwork, message, or your love for something with other people. I learned to connect with people and looked deeper into things like making people happy with what you create,” Andeng said.

“Keep finding ways and don’t give up. You don’t know when something might happen that will help you push into things. I feel like you’ll earn it at the end as long as you have the heart and passion for it,” she added.
