Trump Organization Launches $499 ‘Trump Mobile’ Smartphone and Telecom Service

The Trump Organization has officially entered the mobile phone market with the launch of “Trump Mobile,” a self-branded wireless service and $499 smartphone aimed at conservative U.S. consumers. The announcement was made Monday by Donald Trump Jr. at Trump Tower in New York.

Positioned as an alternative to mainstream telecom providers, Trump Mobile will feature American-made smartphones, U.S.-based call centers, and a $47.45 monthly subscription plan. The phone and service are set to launch in September.

Trump Jr. highlighted that the offering would be more than just a phone. The bundled service will include telemedicine, roadside assistance, and global texting to over 100 countries—all for one flat monthly fee.

DTTM Operations, the Trump entity that manages the family’s trademarks, recently filed applications to trademark “T1” and other branding terms for mobile phones, wireless services, accessories, and even potential retail stores.

The U.S. smartphone and telecom market is highly competitive, dominated by industry giants like Apple and Samsung in hardware, and Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile in network services. These three carriers collectively control over 95% of the U.S. mobile market.

While most smartphones sold in the U.S. are manufactured overseas—primarily in China, South Korea, and India—Trump Mobile aims to distinguish itself by emphasizing American production, despite high domestic manufacturing costs and logistical challenges.

The Trump family continues to diversify its business portfolio, adding digital services and consumer tech to its existing interests in real estate, media, and cryptocurrency.
