Aboard Air Force One – US President Donald Trump confirmed on Sunday that his administration is engaged in discussions with four different groups regarding the sale of Chinese-owned social media platform TikTok.
“We’re dealing with four different groups, and a lot of people want it… all four are good,” Trump told reporters.
A new US law requires TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, to sell the platform on national security grounds or face a ban. Trump, who took office on January 20, temporarily delayed enforcement by 75 days through an executive order.
🔹 Several high-profile investors have expressed interest, including former LA Dodgers owner Frank McCourt.
🔹 Analysts estimate TikTok’s US operations could be worth up to $50 billion.
ByteDance and TikTok have not yet responded to requests for comment.
