Upcoming Water Service Interruptions in Metro Manila and Rizal

Residents of certain areas in Metro Manila and Rizal should prepare for water service interruptions this week, as Manila Water and Maynilad have announced scheduled maintenance activities. Manila Water has detailed that parts of Pasig City and the Rizal province will experience a temporary halt in water supply, specifically from 10 p.m. on April 8 to 4 a.m. on April 9, 2024.

In Pasig City, a leak repair operation will take place along Dr. Sixto Antonio Avenue in Maybunga, affecting nearby locales. Meanwhile, in Rizal, specifically in the areas of Taytay, Binangonan, and Angono, the interruption is due to gear box replacement activities on Manila East Road.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to collect sufficient water before the interruption begins. Manila Water has also recommended allowing the water to run briefly after the service resumes until it becomes clear, to ensure safety and cleanliness.

Maynilad, catering to the western part of Metro Manila, including cities like Caloocan, Las Piñas, and Makati, among others, as well as some areas in Cavite, will also have scheduled service interruptions, although specific details were not provided in the announcement.

These service interruptions are part of the companies’ ongoing efforts to improve water service reliability and infrastructure. Customers are urged to plan accordingly to minimize the inconvenience caused by the temporary disruption of water supply.
