Victory Liner Advances Cashless Payments Following Partnership with PayMaya

Provincial bus company Victory Liner and fintech firm PayMaya have recently entered into a partnership in an effort to provide commuters with safer and more convenient digital payments. “Filipinos deserve a better commuting experience,” explained PayMaya President Shailesh Baidwan in line with the move.

“One way to improve it is by making it easier for people to buy tickets and pay for package deliveries safely with digital payments technology. We’re happy to work with Victory Liner to create better experiences for their customers and personnel,” furthered Baidwan. This recent partnership enables commuters going to Northern and Central Luzon to buy tickets or pay for cargo deliveries without having to queue in long lines.

Victory Liner bus tickets may now be booked and paid using a PayMaya account alongside other modes of payment including debit, credit, or prepaid cards, as well as via other e-wallets when commuters visit the bus company’s website. Victory Liner stations have also been equipped with PayMaya One, which is an app on Android devices that allows businesses to accept transactions done through QR or card.

Additionally, PayMaya One terminals have likewise been set up in Victory Liner’s Drop and Go outlets — its cargo service — making individuals’ delivery service needs more convenient. “Our main goal is to provide a convenient and safe commuting experience, especially with travel and tourism activities picking up, especially this summer. One of the best ways is to provide easy and contactless cashless payment options in our channels,” affirmed Victory Liner president Marivic Hernandez-del Pilar.
