Toyota Innova XE: A New Chapter in Reliability and Versatility

Toyota’s Innova has consistently been a top choice among Filipino families, renowned for its unparalleled functionality, versatility, and dependability. The vehicle’s introduction in 2005 marked a significant milestone, quickly becoming a beloved fixture on the roads of the Philippines and across the Asian markets. Its appeal lies in its ability to seamlessly blend the robustness of an ageless workhorse with the sophistication of modern automotive engineering, making it ideal for navigating both the tranquility of rural landscapes and the hustle of urban environments.

The Innova’s success is reflected in its impressive sales figures, with 16,728 units sold in 2023 alone, securing its position as the sixth best-selling vehicle in the country. This achievement is attributed not only to its exceptional design and engineering but also to Toyota’s commitment to outstanding aftersales service and a comprehensive dealership network.

In a move to further captivate the market and enrich the Innova lineup, Toyota has introduced the Innova XE, an entry-level automatic transmission variant that maintains the essence of the base Innova J. Externally, the XE mirrors the J variant with its distinctive 16-inch steel wheels and full rim covers. Inside, it eschews the luxury of leather for comfortable fabric seats and boasts a suite of features including a seven-inch display audio, steering wheel-mounted controls, power outlet, keyless entry, and power windows, alongside manual climate controls and a fully-equipped entertainment system.

Underneath its hood, the Innova XE houses a robust 2.8-liter 1GD-FTV turbo diesel engine, delivering 174ps and 360 N-m of torque, coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission to ensure smooth power delivery to the rear wheels. The vehicle is equipped with power and eco modes to optimize performance and efficiency based on driving conditions.

Safety is paramount in the Innova XE, featuring a comprehensive array of safety features including multiple airbags, electronic brake distribution, anti-lock brake system, stability control, electronic door locks, ISOFIX, reverse camera, and hill start assist.

Priced at P1,375,000, the 2024 Toyota Innova 2.8 XE A/T is now available at dealerships nationwide, offered in a variety of colors including Silver Metallic 1, Black 1, Blackish Red Mica, and Red Mica Metallic. As it approaches two decades of presence in the Philippines, the Innova continues to be a testament to Toyota’s legacy of creating vehicles that are not just modes of transport but are integral parts of the lives of many Filipinos. The addition of the Innova XE variant is yet another reason for consumers to cherish this enduring and beloved vehicle.
