MANILA, Philippines — In response to the intensifying fuel crisis and its impact on daily commutes, Concentrix Philippines has introduced “Hatid Game-Changers: Biyaheng Bayanihan.” This dedicated shuttle initiative provides free transportation for employees (whom the company calls “game-changers”) while simultaneously supporting local jeepney and van drivers who are struggling with skyrocketing fuel prices and fluctuating ridership.
The program serves as a temporary support measure, augmenting the company’s existing Point-to-Point (P2P) bus program across NCR Plus and Cebu.
The initiative is designed to be a “lifeline” for two distinct groups:
- For Employees: By providing free, reliable, and branded shuttle services, Concentrix helps its workforce reduce commuting stress and increase daily savings. Employees simply show their company ID to board.
- For Local Drivers: The company funds both the fuel and the daily income for its partner drivers. The program currently partners with 35 jeepney drivers in NCR and 9 van drivers in Cebu, providing them with a stable and consistent income stream amid economic uncertainty.
The “Biyaheng Bayanihan” routes are strategically planned to cover high-density areas where a significant number of Concentrix sites and employees are located:
- NCR Routes: Rizal, Quezon City, Mandaluyong, Manila, and Makati.
- Cebu Routes: Lapu-Lapu, Mandaue, and Cebu City.
Concentrix is investing nearly ₱100 Million across various transport support programs this year.
“At Concentrix, care is not just a value—it’s something that we put into action,” said Amit Jagga, Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer of Concentrix Philippines. “By including jeepney and van drivers, we’re able to extend the transportation support in an even more encompassing and meaningful way.”
The program has been met with positive feedback from the workforce. “It’s a big help—not just for the expenses, but for peace of mind every day,” shared Lhynerd Carcallas, a team member from the Concentrix Shaw site.
As one of the largest employers in the Philippines with over 100,000 staff members, Concentrix continues to leverage its scale for corporate social responsibility. The company was recently recognized as the #1 “Most Inspiring Workplace in Asia” and ranked among the Top 5 “Best Workplaces in the Philippines,” highlighting its commitment to impactful employment practices during challenging economic times.
